Gigs
Between Pictures played their first ever gig at a youth club called Unit One in Uxbridge on Feb 16, 1979. More gigs followed at venues like the Oranges and Lemons in Oxford, the Nag's Head in High Wycombe and the Greyhound in Fulham, before the band took the plunge in its hometown at The Target pub in Reading on June 5, '79. Their first gig at the Marquee Club in Wardour St. London was in September '79 supporting the Vapors. A return gig the following month was the infamous "tsunami of spit" Marquee gig supporting punk band 999.
Easter Monday 1981 - Between Pictures supported The Piranhas at an outdoor anti-Cruise Missile festival in a field near Greenham Common. This was a few weeks before the Greenham Common Women's camp got going.
Mic and Alison both spasmodically kept gig diaries throughout the period of the band's existence, which are available below selectable by years. There may well be some omissions or errors please let us know if you have any memories to contribute.
